Download timeseries data (6 Clicks)

1. Station information

Click Station [1] from the left and view the list of stations. To download time series data data, use the search function [2] and type e.g. 'APHRODITE'. Then, click Details [3] and the next page is station metadata page.



2. Station Metadata

The page provides metadata of the station. Click on the 'Show' link to view associated time series data (Example: 1 timeseries associated [Show] )

3. Time Series Metadata

The page provides details about the time series data. Click on 'show associated timeseries data'.

4. Time Series Data details

The page is about the statistics of the data of your request which is ready to download. You can view the bar graph by clicking show plot [4].

5. Time Series Data download

You can download the data in different temporal resolution. Daily [5], monthly or yearly [6] from export aggregated and click download.

How to fill missing data

Note: Among the measured data from Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) Government of Nepal, only Bhojpur station is allowed to fill the gaps and download from KosiRBIS for guest account. Thank you for DHM for allowing the station data to be downloaded from KosiRBIS.



The page provides overall description of your dataset

[7]: The data is incomplete (97.93%)

[8]: nST refers the nearby station. Clicking nST (please open the page in new window or tab) will provide further information.

[9]: [I] Red: means the data is not filled.


Fill gaps

To fill the data gaps, click on the [I] button which will lead to next page to fill the gaps.

After choosing the method from 'Method Set' (For example: Inverse Distance Weighting), click the Execute button to finish the process.

Now if the [I] is BLUE, gaps are partly filled. If the [I] is GREEN, your data gaps are fully filled.

Now download the data without missing values.

How to access to Geodata

Click the Geodata [10]. In next page, click on Details and again click on Kosi in View Map Data.

An interactive map component will be displayed (figure below).



If you want to know the details of the stations from the map, click the virtual station (eg.) from Legend [11], and then click the button with the 'i' [12] from the top, and then simply drag and make a square (in station of your interest) [13], the pop up window [14] will be displayed.

For further information about the station, click the link in the pop up window [15]. Please open the link in new window or tab.

If you know the station name and like to locate it in the map, click on the arrow sign >> behind the parameters of the Layers [16], and the window will pop up [17], choose the item [18] and station name [19], click show station [20], the station will be marked in the map [21].
