Steps for initial Import or Update based on WMO ID:
1. Download zipped file for each year (during update since last imported year) until current date (ftp://ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov/pub/data/gsod/)
2. Extract downloaded files
3. Read files line by line
4. Unit conversion (inch -> mm, ...)
5. Write new file for data import
6. Import file based on predefined template
Import types:
1. 11 Parameter
2. 12 Parameter (including snow)
3. 12 Parameter (including snow and calculated relativ humidity) |
